Alangulam Keeranur (Tiruchy Province)

The Frans Schlooz Foundation, with the cooperation of the “Boeken Steunen Mensen” foundation in Venlo, has launched a microfinance project in Alangulam-Keeranur in 2025. The initial results are already visible. The project will ultimately provide 300 women without caste with training and loans to start their own businesses. Previously, it was impossible for them to properly feed their children (which is important for health), clothe them, and send them to school. With the help of the Salesians, this will now be possible! In the future, these women will form a kind of cooperative, buying each other’s products and, of course, all other interested parties.
